«Each to his own way I'll go mine. Best of luck in
what you find. But for your own sake remember times we used to know»
(da "We used to know")
In April 1969 Jethro Tull, returning from France, began recording their new album "Stand Up" at Morgan Studio in London.
It seems that the first song they recorded was "A New Day Yesterday", while the last ones were "For a Thousand Mother" and "We Used Know".
During the recordings, on April 23, they celebrated Glenn
Cornick's 22nd birthday.
"Bourée" was recorded at Olympic Sound in London, while sound engineer Andy Johns played bass on "Look into the Sun" (he passed away on April 7, 2013).
The album was released shortly after and reached number one in the UK charts, propelling Jethro Tull into the Olympus of rock stars!
